Leadership in Health & Wellbeing in the Workplace (Special Purpose Award, Level 8)

Aims

This innovative programme is designed to enable managers across all sectors to integrate health and wellbeing into their working environments. Health and Wellbeing are becoming increasingly important for companies to maintain a content and productive workforce.

This programme allows managers to lead, integrate and promote health and wellbeing among their staff. The topics will include nutrition, physical activity promotion, mental health and behaviour change. Content will be delivered through blended learning, comprised of online lectures and in-house workshops.

Content

Leadership and Behaviour Change: Developing leadership and change management skills.

Employee Mental Wellbeing: Learners gain an understanding of issue related to employee wellbeing in the workplace.

Nutrition: Learners gain an understanding of the importance of healthy nutrition for employees.

Introduction to Physical Activity and Promotion: Learners gain an understanding of the core concepts of Physical activity and its promotion.

Programme Delivery Mode

This programme is delivered with a mixture of online and classroom delivery. Some of the content will be delivered online with the remaining involving either lectures/practicals/tutorials delivered at the LIT Clonmel Campus.

Entry Requirement

QQI Level 5 award, Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification, and/or relevant life and work experience. Mature students (23 years of age on 1st January preceding application) can apply.

Certificate in Leadership in Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace (Special Purpose Award, Level 8, 10 Credits)
