Aircraft Records Technician (Special Purpose Award, Level 7)

Please note that the Autumn 2019 Aircraft Records Technician course will be run from CAE Parc Aviation Office in Santry Dublin 17 in September

The February 2020 course will be delivered in Shannon.

Please note that we are currently only taking applications for the Autumn intake in Dublin. The application process for Shannon course in semester 2 will open in Autumn 19.

Aims

This Level 7 Special Purpose Award programme is aimed at aircraft maintenance personnel and offers them a career path into the Aircraft Leasing Industry as Aircraft Records Technicians.
On successful completion of this course, participants will have a detailed knowledge of the aircraft technical documentation required during an aircraft lease transition process. They will be able to devise a structure, plan and accomplish the Lease Transition checklist ensuring no documentation gaps the aircrafts history.
They will be able to evaluate, report and feedback during the process, working with the Lessor and Lessee to manage expectations and achieve a successful redelivery of all required documentation.
The course is developed by CAE Parc Aviation, is validated by the Department of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering at Limerick Institute of Technology as a Level 7 Special Purpose Award with 10 ECTS. The course is facilitated by Atlantic Air Adventure Aviation Centre in Shannon.

Entry Requirement

Individuals with a Level 6 qualification in aircraft maintenance, an aviation qualification at Level 6 or above or with extensive experience in the aircraft maintenance industry.

Duration

The programme will be offered at a Dublin location in semester 1 and will be scheduled to run over 5 full Saturdays (10am to 5pm) as follows:
  • Saturday 21st September
  • Saturday 5th October
  • Saturday 12th October
  • Saturday 2nd November
  • Saturday 9th November
