LIT offering third-level courses with flexible hours and funding opportunities

Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) has developed a portfolio of high-quality courses aimed at providing accessible professional development opportunities to anyone looking to advance their career in a particular industry.

These courses are suitable for anyone either currently in employment, or seeking employment, and cater to a variety of education and professional backgrounds.

Growing sectors of employment

Programmes have been developed to provide qualifications in enterprise sectors that are growing and in need of skilled personnel. Courses focus on a variety of subject areas within these growing sectors of employment, including business, IT, media and sport, and are available from LIT’s Limerick and Tipperary campuses.

Flexible class hours

These programmes are being offered through the LIT Flexible Learning department, and include a wide range of part-time, evening and blended class delivery options, designed to take your career to the next level.

Funding opportunities

There are also funding opportunities available under the newly restructured Springboard+ initiative, which funds 90% of course costs for anyone in employment looking to up-skill, and 100% of costs for anyone currently seeking employment.

Andrew Dunne, who completed the Community Coaching Programme, said starting a part-time course ‘opened new doors’ for him. “I highly recommend taking a part-time course at LIT. This course has changed the trajectory of my life… now I have enrolled on a Higher Certificate which will eventually lead onto an honours degree”.
