Engineering Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics (City & Guilds)

Programme Aims:

The unit presents the engineering science topics of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. It aims to develop knowledge and skills in these topics to support the analysis of problems in fluid flow and energy transfer systems.
At the end of this module the learner will:

  • be able to apply principles of fluid mechanics to solve engineering problems
  • be able to apply the laws of thermodynamics to solve engineering problems
  • be able to solve practical, steady-state engineering problems
